Short impression
Arizona is a dry, hot, yet beautiful state. Most of the state exists out of empty desert, but one can also find expansive forest areas and mountains. Following Interstate 17 from south to north is a two-and-a-half hour drive uphill from the heat of Phoenix to the lush environment of Flagstaff.
Almost a quarter of Arizona is Navajo tribal land, which takes the complete north-east corner of the state.
Although you’ll find the famous Grand Canyon national park in the north, Arizona has a lot more interesting sights within it’s boundaries. For instance: Route66, Sedona, the Saguara cactus, Tucson, The Colorado river, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon and Petrified Forest.
