Petaluma
The campground
San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA is about an hour away from San Francisco. Especially during the weekends locals escape the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy some quiet time near the campfire, roasting marshmallows, singing songs and telling stories. There’s a swimming pool, a Kamping Kitchen, a large petting zoo and during the summer months there’s plenty of entertainment. Daily excursions to San Francisco, the wineries and the redwoods are also being offered.
The surrounding area
Petaluma is a small town, in close proximity to San Francisco, Napa Valley, the rugged Northern Californian coast-line and magnificent redwoods. The historical center offers some shops and restaurants, but for a real shopping experience there’s the Factory Outlet.
From the campground it’s only a short drive to the area’s top-rated golf courses, award winning wineries and awe-inspiring redwoods. Six Flags Marine World is also within easy reach.
