Cannonville
The campground
Cannonville KOA offers some awesome views of the area. It’s located only 12 miles from the entrance to Bryce Canyon and a great place to rest after a long day of enjoying the majestic nature that’s all around. The swimming pool is open till mid September, there’s a Kamp Kitchen, a snackbar, and bike rentals are available.
The surrounding area
The picture on your right shows a tunnel on UT89 in Red Canyon Park. Along this stretch of road a bicycle path winds its way through the red rocks. This is a gorgeous area and it offers a glimpse of what awaits you in Bryce Canyon NP.
Kodachrome Basin State Park is only 9 miles away. It’s so photogenic they named it after this famous Kodak film. Hwy 12 towards Capitol Reef NP offers spectacular views. Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, ghost towns, and Anasazi ruins are only a selection of places to visit in this region.
