The six-person Dome Tent Lodge

The Dome 6 is actually the model 2008 Dome 4 with an extra, smaller, Dome tent attached in the back. The total area comes to a whopping 470 sqf. No wonder most unexpecting passers-by were surprised to hear the tent only sleeps 6 and not the 30 people they had in mind!The tent has an awning for protection against sunshine and rain, and it’s so tall a person can stand up straight with room to spare.

The Dome 6 is manufactured in the America’s Tent Lodges colors of beige with red detailing. It looks great from the outside and the atmosphere inside is very pleasurable, even on cloudy days.

Living area and kitchen

The first Dome (200 sqf) is the kitchen and living area. Four large windows let light and fresh air in. All windows can be zipped closed. A floor lamp provides ample light in the evening and night.

The kitchen consists of a kitchen cabinet with a workspace and storage drawers, a refrigerator, a micro-wave oven and a coffee maker. Plates, silverware, glassware, etc. are available. We also included a cooler for our guests to use during day trips.

Sleeping quarters

The second Dome (200 sqf) has one queen-size and two twin-size beds, sleeping 4 people. The beds can be separated from each other with curtains. The small Dome (85 sqf) in the back sleeps 2 people. There are two twin-size beds, which can be separated with curtains for privacy.

Both sleeping areas have 1 window (with mesh) for ventilation and a special construction in the roof to let hot air out.

Outside the Tent Lodge

The awning provides shade and shelter. The luxury garden furniture can be used both indoors and outdoors and ‘under the awning’ may just be the right place to enjoy dinner. For preparing this dinner a small stove has been included in the inventory since 2011. For this you need your own small propane tank.

A charcoal BBQ is included. Strict regulations prohibit the use of cooking stoves inside tents. Some campgrounds have a Kamp Kitchen, a general area where campers can cook their meal and do the dishes, in which case pots and pans are provided.
